ABOUT US: FORGING A NEW LEGACY
Since our historic founding summit in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on February 4, 2015, Pro Wrestling Africa has been on a mission to build a vibrant and internationally recognized pro wrestling scene. We are the official continental body, the Confederation Africaine de Catch, uniting nations and athletes under one banner.
Our vision is to create a “Mecca” of world-class professional wrestling in Africa. We are transforming the landscape from local shows into structured, globally-recognized events. We’re establishing development pathways, prestigious continental title belts, and forging powerful international training partnerships.
This revolution is the brainchild of the legendary “Mr. African Wrestling,” Ambassador Olusesan Olukoya. With nearly four decades of tireless dedication as a promoter, manager, and historian, his vision is now our reality.
MEET THE VISIONARY: OLUSESAN OLUKOYA
Olusesan Olukoya is more than just the Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa; he is the “African Wrestling Encyclopedia.” His journey since 1988 has seen him wear every hat imaginable in the world of pro wrestling: analyst, manager, promoter, columnist, and activist.
His passion has taken him to nearly every African nation with a wrestling scene, and his influence extends globally through key positions, including:
- Director of Publicity and Promotions for the Nigeria Professional Wrestling Federation
- Executive Director at Pro Wrestling Afrik Promotions Ltd.
- Chief Operation Officer at the Golden Wrestling Federacy (GWF) in Orlando, Florida
- President of AIWF Africa
Olukoya’s unwavering commitment is instrumental in our mission to elevate African wrestling to the global stage.
